Although this video is a clear extreme case of bad teaching, it points out several very important factors. The video starts by showing all of the students completely bored and most are sleeping. The teacher, in a monotone voice, is standing in front of the class reading out of a book. He is not engaging with the students in any way. This video also points out inappropriate sexual behavior from the teacher both in the middle of the video (touching the female student inappropriately) as well as at the end (pulling down his pants when the student falls asleep). Although these are extremes, it is important that teachers understand the professional relationships that we have with students. It made me very uncomfortable to watch both of those scenes in the clip. The other important factor that this video brings up is that when the bell rings, the students immediately exit the room without dismissal and while the teacher is still talking. This showed that the students clearly had no respect for the teacher and the content (although poorly taught) was not important.
